I got my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Chemistry from Montclair State University. I attended college on a full academic scholarship and was a participant in the Honors Program.

Rutgers University- New Jersey Medical School

​I earned my doctorate of medicine (M.D.) from Rutgers University- New Jersey Medical School. While in medical school, I was an outspoken member of the student body and helped to coordinate & actively participate in community activism activities.

 

 

MEDICAL INTERNSHIP & PSYCHIATRY RESIDENCY:

​Henry Ford Hospital &
Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University 
​

After graduating from Rutgers University-New Jersey Medical School, I completed my medical internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. I then completed my residency in psychiatry at Wayne State University in Detroit where I served as Chief Resident. During my residency, I also served as Secretary of the Detroit Medical Center's Resident Council.

Case Western Reserve University â€‹

Following completion of my residency in psychiatry, I completed a rigorous fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
